Building little swimmers’ confidence in the water with a fun & funky SwimFin here in cute Angelfish Pink. SwimFin is a teaching aid, flotation device and fun water toy all in one. It should be worn high on the back, above the centre of gravity. This way it will ‘suspend’ the child in the water – it will not tip a child forward if worn correctly, and the more it’s submerged the more support it gives. All SwimFins come with a set of regular sized straps.
A SwimFin should never be used with a baby that cannot control their body yet, and it must NEVER be worn on the front of the body.
Please note: SwimFin comes in one size only. SwimFin has been tried and tested and is proven to work for all ages, sizes and abilities. However, on the packaging there is a chart saying SwimFin is suitable for children 15-30 kgs and gives an approximate age range of 3 – 6 years. This is a legal requirement for all buoyancy aids that have undergone safety testing and is for guidance only (there are testimonials from around the world suggesting that individuals larger than these ranges find more than adequate support from the SwimFin up to adults). SwimFin must be used under constant, capable supervision.
Pip says: Only a lifejacket has the ability to turn someone the right way up in the water – buoyancy aids do not! Make sure you choose the right equipment for your child. Buoyancy aids should only be worn by children who can swim.RNLI guide to fitting a child's lifejacket
